In the heart of northwest Dallas is Holy Cross Lutheran Church, a congregation gathered around Jesus Christ and His gifts of Word & Sacrament and committed to serving the community. Established over 60 years ago, Holy Cross is more than just a place of worship on Sunday, but also hosts numerous community partners throughout the week. From the Adult ESL program to Nevet Counseling Center, we strive to be a church that cares for our neighbors with the love of Christ.
Our facility is also home to Iglesia Luterana Santa Cruz (Spanish), Umoja International Outreach Church (Swahili/English), and Salaam Arabic Church (Arabic).
Our Mission
Our mission at its core is the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Himself, found at the end of St. Matthew’s Gospel: to make disciples of Jesus from every nation (Matt 28:19-20). And our vision is the Great Commandment: to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, and soul, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matt 22:34-40).
Grounded in the Word of God and His gifts of Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, we give thanks for God’s forgiveness and heed His invitation to join His Kingdom as it comes among us—on earth as it is in heaven.
