While Holy Cross Lutheran School endeavors to serve the entire community,
our commitment to quality education makes it necessary to establish
basic priorities for handling enrollments. Accordingly, applications
will be accepted in the following order:
-
Children of our congregation, non-members attending Holy Cross
Lutheran Church, and children currently enrolled and their
siblings.
-
Children of other Lutheran congregations
-
Children who with their family have no church membership
-
All others
A student’s admission will not be determined on the basis of race,
creed, or color. Please call the school office to schedule an appointment
for your child’s individual assessment. When accepted, the child will
be placed into the program on the basis of his or her ability to succeed.
Enrollment in our school requires the signing of either a Leader’s
Commitment or Pre-leadership Commitment. Our school is funded primarily
through tithes and offerings of our church membership. Therefore, members and
prospective members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church are encouraged to sign a
Leader’s Commitment form, in which they commit to participation in the
life of our congregation through Worship, Education, Service, and Tithing.
Since the term “tithe” refers to a minimum of 10% of a family’s gross
income in offerings being given to our church annually, those who sign the
Leader’s Commitment form will not be required to pay tuition or
regular fees when the children attend our school. The child’s enrollment
is secured from the time the family signs and begins to participate according
to the Leader’s Commitment. Families with no church home may choose to
participate at this level with the hope that, at some point in the future, they
may choose to become members of Holy Cross.
